What’s a great starter set of golf clubs for men that don’t cost an arm and a leg?

My husband would love a set of golf clubs and golf lessons as a combo birthday gift. But since I don’t know anything about golf or how to shop for decent clubs, I’m loathing the trip to a local sports store. I need to know decent brands for a good starter set of clubs, the price range I should expect and the gear he’d need to get started. Please help!

      My first set of square twos becuase of the offset which helps for beginners the price and the clubs that he is going to play the price and buy used clubs were about 300 dollars with bag if you think he will be satisfied with bag.
