get him a personalized bowling bag, then fill it with his favorite candies or some golf balls, fishing hooks, and maybe a some homemade coupons for a massage, or saying you will go fishing with him or something they he can appreciate

Something thoughtful will mean more than spending a bunch of money on clothes or something that doesn’t mean anything. You can put together a scrapbook or digital collage with a poem, make him a CD with some of his favorite tunes, make him a nice candle lit dinner.
