well if he is a pro then he is endorsed by a company already so you dont need to get him any balls or equipment. i would recommend getting a gift basket or a ball case so he can put valuable and precious balls in there like collectibles and hole in ones and stuff like that

Go to and you can set him up with a set of personalized golf balls, bags, hats, shirts, and etc. I think that would be a great gift.

Buying him a shirt, equipment, or gift certificates is a waste of money. He’s got all the stuff he needs at this point.

Get him a nice hardcover book, but it will have to be something obscure since every golf pro has read the bibles, such as Hogan’s Fundamentals. Do not get him an instructional or theoretical book. Get him something like “Golf in the Kingdom” by Michael Murphy, if he hasn’t read it already (fiction).

Geoff Shackelford has written several books on golf course design and architecture. If money is no object then Tom Doak’s Confidential Guide is an amazing book that gets more valuable every year (can be found on ebay).

You probably know what he’s interested in. If he loves competitive golf then get him a book about a tournament, like Feinstein’s book on the ‘02 US Open at Bethpage. If he likes tinkering with equipment then maybe Tom Wishon’s or Frank Thomas’s book, and so on. These types of books might actually tell him something he doesn’t already know.

      Hope that helps.
