Should I bring a gift to this birthday party?

I’ve been invited to two (twins) of my high school friend’s 20th birthday party. Its going to be held at Camelot, (a mini golf/laser tag/arcade place). On the facebook invite, it mentions the prices for mini golf, laser tag, and the arcade games. I’m assuming we’ll have to pay for it overselves. My mom claims that this isn’t really a birthday party if I have to pay for the activities. I’m not so sure what the proper ettiquette is.

The guests pay for the guests pay for anything gives me less of an incentive to go actually.
