golf gift
sofia asked:

I don’t know anything at all about golf, so any and all help is much appreciated.

Please keep the cost around $20 at most.
Does it matter what kind of golf balls I get?

Is a certain kind better than others?
Mickey, thanks for the thought but I need to get him an actual item.

The thing is, he is very serious about golf and wouldn’t much like a trip to a minigolf course.

Dont buy him balls. Let him do that. Buy him a divot fixer / ball marker, or maybe some tees.

Don’t get golf balls unless you know which kind he likes to play (good ones would be more than $20/dozen anyway).

Go to a good golf store and look at headcovers for his driver. There’s a good line of neoprine NFL headcovers if he’s a football fan in the $15-$20 range.

You can try the USGA website for US Open logo merchandise — should be able to get a nice hat for just over $20.

Buy him a golf towel that he can hang on his golf bag. There are many with different logos, etc…or you can even get one personalized for not a whole lot of money…

Buy him a pull-over wind breaker. One with a V neck, go with a solid dark color to absorb more sunshine and help stay warm. It doesn’t have to be fancy, they are very nice to have in the colder months.
