Men: What do you think of Gift Cards for a present?

My boyfriend of 6-months is into golf, but I have no idea what he needs so I might just get him a $100 gift card to a golf store, a Lauren shirt ($90) and a couple smaller gifts.

Would this be enough? Do guys like gift cards or would I be better off getting something else?

    We love gift cards as long as you agree we can use them without any “screening” on your part as far as what we buy with them :)))
