How do you figure out putt-putt golf averages?

We have 4 players who compete for a family trophy and the ages of the players are widespread. So we wanted to try and make this as fair as possible. We play at different coarses, but it is the same players all of the time.

      An average is obtained by dividing the games played and you will have their averages.
      For each person that played add those scores together then divide by dividing the sum of games played and you will have their averages.

      total score divided by number of HOLES played.
