Certainly seem to be one of my problems. Especially with the driver. Is this what is meant by getting the club “stuck behind you”?

    5. sheepdog48 Says:

1st… If yours grip is too tight. the release won’t happen. Your grip needs to be no firmer than what is allowed to maintain a relaxed feel. Maybe a 4 in a 1-10 scale. You have to experiment. One tip I like was to grip the club like you are holding a bird securely without squeezing it. Your grip will tighten slightly naturally as you take it back.. Once the wrist is cocked try hitting the ball hard as if it were a nail and the club a hammer. The release should happen naturally..

@jaacobbowden okay thanks man. I never really focused on the release of my club in the past, but i think ill be able to make my swing a lot more consistent just practicing the release.

    8. jaacobbowden Says:

@ILoveChappy - Some of the best laggers still have 90 degrees between the club and their lead forearm as the hands are approaching the rear leg on the downswing from a face-on viewpoint…but still get full extension by the time they hit the ball or very shortly after the strike. Working to achieve that would give you a good amount of pop on the ball.

    9. ILoveChappy Says:

The club head just over the ball does this mean your hands should be of great help when he says you would be of confused on that.
My question it would be of great help when he says you want to release the ball does this mean your hands should be just after you begin to release the club head im kind of confused on that.
