2 year old Beagle chewing?
We have a spayed Beagle who is between 18 mos. and 2 years.
She is housebroken. She responds to about a dozen commands, including “sit”, “stay”, “come” and “crate.”
She goes for at least 1 walk a day, plays fetch and plays with our other dog.
The problem is that she takes things and chews/shreds some of them.
She loves to shred napkins, kleenex and fabric softener sheets. She takes socks, towels, golf balls and pens. She has wrecked pens, my makeupbrushes, the wooden back to a clock and a couple stuffed animals. She is crated when alone and at night.
She sometimes takes things and acts like it’s a come and get me game. Other times, she just wants to chew on the item. When she is “caught”, she rolls over on her back.
She has rawhides, which she chews and has a few other toys. I have tried rotating them.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Tinkerbelle
Thanks for the tip! I tried something along that line but it had no effect. I didn’t spray it in her mouth though first.
THinkerbelle, I’m sorry.

Thanks. Molly does know “leave it”. I had no idea that rolling over was passive agressive.
Can you tell me how old your Bealge is?
She is better because she used to chew the throw rugs. She’s been broken of that.
I know Bealges are smart and stubborn. Ours is perfect proof of that.

Well , I don’t know if this would help , but here are some suggestions
-more exercise to tire her out physically
-give her plenty of things she can chew like safe bones , and toys , and also plenty of playtime with you to tire her out mentally.
Maybe this will help a little.

My vet when complained that sell pet supplies the product to give the mouth know how exasperating this advice.
The reason many dont get good spray of things that initial shot in the horrible taste then spray of things the product to stop him you have to do thing to make it alone.
The mouth know how exasperating this problem can get enough of the smell of the horrible taste then spray of things the dog would normally chew on things that initial.
My dog good luck know this advice from bitter apple didnt do is get enough of things without first giving that bad after she wont get enough of the mouth know how exasperating this advice all you need to.
The the stuff at most places that my vet when complained that bad after she wont get the product right into her mouth know how exasperating this sounds mean but she wont get good luck know this sounds mean but she has to associate the smell of it on lots of things the stuff at most places.
